Old and New SAT

Aright well i got an 800 M and 730 V on the old SAT. I was wondering if the old sat math and verbal scores will carry over. For example, if I get a 780 M on the new SAT, will it be replaced by my 800 M from the old one? Specifically, I'm curious as to Yale's, Harvard's, Princeton's, Stanford's, and MIT's admissions policy regarding this situation. Thanks.

stanford:

For students applying for fall 2006, we will accept a student's highest individual verbal/critical reading score and math score from either the former SAT I, the new SAT Reasoning Test, or a combination of the two exams.

Harvard said will take any of the highest individual scores (V/M/CR),
from old or new SAT I.

any ideas about yale and princeton?

Princeton: see

Yale: will take either old/new SAT, with a recommendation for the new SAT.

thanks for the help

Yale admit website says:

Note: Applicants graduating from high school in 2006 are encouraged to take the new SAT. However, we will accept scores from either the old or the new SAT (or both).

so does that mean Yale, like Harvard and Stanford, will take the highest of any individual scores from either the old SAT or the new one?

what if you get a 800M in the old SAT and a 600M in the new SAT? will they just say, 'oh, well he got an 800M on the old SAT' and leave it at that? just a hypothetical situation...very unlikely but still is possible!

To Social's Q:
The info is not spelled out at Yale's website.
You probably need to email them directly.

Though "generally speaking", based on info from HS Guidance counselors,
colleges do take the highest indiv V/M/CR/W scores, from different testing dates.
