OLD SAT/ACT TO NEW SAT

Hey Guys,

I received a 2180 (740/720/720) on the old SAT and a 33 composite (34/36/31/29) on the ACT. According to the concordance chart released by CB, these convert to around 1500 or 1510 on the new SAT. However, according to some bad advice, I took the new SAT w/o any preparation and got only a 1350. This converts back to only a 1900 on the old SAT. Will admissions board, especially for top colleges, look down upon the old SAT and ACT scores or a better future better ACT score or consider them flukes due to this 1350. OR will they consider it just a terrible testing day for me? Does anyone have any idea what a competitive score on the new SAT will be for top universities i.e. Stanford, Harvard, Rice etc.?

You have two really solid scores to back you up.
Also, I don’t think you’re required to send all of your scores, so just send the best ones. If you have to send them all, they will still see the two really good scores.
Congrats on your scores, you should be proud!

Don’t send the new SAT.
