I have several old sat prep books that were purchased for my D16, many that she only really glanced at. I’m wondering if I should keep these books for S18 and S20 who will be taking the new SAT? My gut tells me to hang one to the few that were the most useful and pass on the rest to people that are prepping for the SAT prior to March 2016. Thoughts?
The SAT is one of those tests that is very test specific- it is not usually enough to know math or reading, but you need to practice SAT questions to acquaint yourself with the format and the information. With the new SAT, your sons would probably be best off practicing from test prep books designed for the new SAT.
But yes, your idea seems the best, keep a few and pass on the rest. That way, if your sons can get anything at all out of your existing books, they will be able to.
