Older than average student.

After my sophomore year, I spent a year at a French high school (I'm writing this from France). On my return to the United States, I'm going to prepare the International Baccalaureate. The corrolary of this statement is that obviously none of the classes I took in France will count for anything, and I will have spent five years in high school. Will this change anything in college admissions decisions?

bump...

(By the way, in case you're confused, because in other posts I seem to be hinting that I want to go to France for college, I'm asking this in case I decide to stay in the United States. I haven't actually decided what to I'm doing yet.)

I don't know

Age doesn't affect you for the worse. A year of school in France may not count toward your high school diploma, but speaks volumes in your app - maturity, proficiency in French [I believe], etc. And, as always, IB is a solid program.
