<p>He Kexin (the gold medalist in uneven bar) was called to the national team in 2007, 2008 for the first time. By then, her age was legit to particiate. The chinese newspaper that stated she was underage is an anti chinese government group from outside of china so that info is not very reliable. No one knows whether she's underage or not. The documents for her international debuts are all legit (age wise).</p>

<p>I personally think that rules should be followed (besides, younger gymnasts have somewhat of an advantage over older ones) but kudos to Nastia for keeping a cool head and not trashing the competition. A very well dictated response, according to the article she didn't show any bitterness towards the decision.</p>
