YEAH! OLYMPICS!
The one time that we try to forget about politics and borders and all that good stuff.
Any particular country or event you'll be watching?

Personally, I'll be rooting for Sri Lanka, who have only won two silver medals ever.

Swimming and tennis are the two main events I’ll be watching. I have tickets for the the Women’s Singles and Men’s Doubles Gold Medal tennis matches at Wimbledon, yay!

I’ll be watching the track and field events (I’m fascinated by the lesser known events in T+F, with my favorites being triple jump and hammer throw), along with the swimming ones (mostly just for Phelps (for sheer domination) and Ledecky (for the simple fact that she’s the favorite for gold at 15).

So lucky I got tickets for the road cycling at Box Hill, will be there all day rooting for Cavendish! He did so awesomely in Paris, hopefully he can pull it off again.
On tv, I’ll mostly be watching the track cycling which is always awesome. Hopefully GB will pull off the wins like in Beijing, particularly Hoy.

There was something in our papers the other day about the Israeli team being worried about terrorist attacks from Iranian (I think I got that right) so it’s not just the US that’s targetted.

I’m so darn excited! Every second of it makes me so happy. In 2008, I’m pretty sure I watched at least 90% of the televised games, including the entire marathon and a whole bunch of rowing… Why? Because the Olympics are awesome! I can’t wait for gymnastics, diving, badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, and swimming! And sure, why not throw some table tennis or trampoline (if only they televised it) in there?

Serena Williams gets an okay draw, Venus is going to be out in the first round, and Andy Roddick is going to be out in the second round (against Djokovic). eugfhqebfh
