OMG Do I have to submit TOEFL SCORE?

on Amherst website it says
“Amherst requires any applicant whose first language is
not English, and who has not been taught primarily in English
for the past four years, to take the Test of English as a Foreign
Language (TOEFL) The requirement to take the TOEFL may be waived for students who score above 700 on the Critical Reading section of the SAT, or who have been taught primarily in English for the past four years.”

My first language is not English but I have been taught in English for the past four years.
Do I still have to submit my TOEFL score???/
if I havent yet, would I be rejected automatically or would they give me time to submit my toefl score???
by the way my CR is 680

“Language (TOEFL) The requirement to take the TOEFL may be waived for students who score above 700 on the Critical Reading section of the SAT, or who have been taught primarily in English for the past four years.”

Well, I think you’ve answered your own question. If there’s a way for you to send them something proving that you were taught primarily in English for the past four years, you should do it. In any case, you should get in contact with them as soon as possible.

Are you applying from a school in the US, England, etc., where English is the main language or from a country where there is a different official language? If the second, then have an administrator send a letter stating this. If not, your transcript will show that you attended school in the Englsih speaking country, and I wouldn’t worry.

Did you get over 700 on the writing section?
