omg grades

Is anyone else worrying about them? I kinda just realized that one B can kill your GPA :/ (freshman here)
What is your current grade and what are you shooting for?

a B killing your GPA? I know people who would do almost anything for a B! I think you may need to calm down a bit about your grades; getting a 4.0 isn't everything.

a B won't kill your GPA, even if you do want to go to med school!!! geez.

You aren't in highschool anymore bub. A B won't kill your GPA.

I want to go to Harvard Law. A B DOES kill your GPA.

haha. I'm trying to get my GPA into harvard law territory, too. Even though I should pull at worst a 3.85 this semester, my one B freshman year and my one C+ in a difficult 18 credit semester is killing me. Without those two grades my GPA is a full one tenth higher and in harvard law territory :(:(

3.85 IS Harvard Law territory :)

a 3.85 OVERALL is, but a few of them combined with a 3.4 freshman year isn't. Though I'm a junior I have as many credits as a senior, and thus it is quite hard to get my overall to budge. A 3.85 this semester would only raise me from a 3.67 to a 3.7 overall...

Honestly, as much as HLS would be nice, I have no objection to going to some of the lower top10 schools like Chicago, Penn, etc.

I'm sure there are people who got into Harvard Law with a 3.7 and 179 LSAT. Just remember, you're not too far off.

lol, but how hard is to get a 179 LSAt......

Chocoman, seriously, don't worry about it. Worst case, you'll get your 3.7, and then go to Penn Law or Duke or something. It's fine. They're still fine law schools.

Oh how gracious of you.

lol, yea...............

Was that supposed to be sarcastic?

Just a tad. :)

While futurenyustudent seems a little singleminded on the issue of LS ranking, it is legitimately an important thing for a legal career to do well at a highly ranked school, so I'll forgive him his almost religious obsession. ;)

this thread is ridiculous

go have fun.

Didn't you see "Legally Blonde?"
