OMG I got off the waitlist! *I think*

Hey hey no worries, quynh! It's not like you wanted all of this to happen, so no need to feel bad about it. I could just call the hotel school myself-- easier that way. :) You've been helping us so much on CC, that and all your extra curriculars plus the infamous workload of Cornell... you really deserve a breather! I hope everything will be alright for you in the end. :o

does that mean that you will be here next spring?! I have quite a few hotelie friends, and I have a lot of respect and admiration for them (they do work their asses off despite the stereotype) and of course, they will be leading the world one day in the not too distant future. if you have any questions about transfer (two of my hotelie friends transferred into the hotel this spring semester) just feel free to ask. They love the hotel school, and banfi's and the fries at terrace rocks!!

Haha well if I don't get off the waitlist in time for the Fall 2005 admissions, I will work my ass off like any good hotelie should at another school to get the grades for the spring transfer. Of course, it's London, so a couple of good West End shows and sightseeing will be a must. ;)

Hm. So will I be here next spring? God willing, YES. OHHHH YESSSS. :D

Well I promised an update, so this is just for those who are interested in it.

Just replied to Cornell and clarified some questions. Well attending UCL won't be a problem in anyway. The offer still stays except...

LOL they are now offering a Fall 2006 transfer instead of a Spring 2006 because int'ls can't seem to be able to obtain a visa in time for the Spring classes. That and also because I need to at least complete one semester at UCL and that would probably be sometime after January.

Hm. What can I say? I can't wait to get over to Ithaca, but hey it's one year in London. I'll treat it like a "Year Abroad" stint and enjoy the cathedrals while I'm there. That, of course, is assuming nothing good comes out of this round of wait list admissions. :o

The "year abroad" sounds like an amazing idea, I always wanted to study abroad, but I don't know if I'll get up the guts to do it. ^_^; Good luck, and I hope we see you at Cornell, but of course, do what you want to do, not what I want you to do. :)

gasp Of course I will see y'all at Cornell!! London's great I'm sure, but I've lived there before but never in Ithaca. I doubt any school will make me fall-head-over-heels-in-love like the way Cornell did. slaps robinage for making a crazy suggestion :p

:D I can't wait to see you there :)

eek! sorry, sorry!!! ^_^;;

glad to hear it though, hehe. :)

For the record, my friend also got off the cornell waitlist (and into the college) earlier this week! She was very very excited:)

congratulations! my friend got the exact same thing for the hotel school, she's thrillllled

Wow, this is great news! bluirinka, send my congrats to your friend and hope to see her at CHS soon... preferrably this fall. ;)

Hey there everyone!

Congrats leigh!....i got the same thing too!...but i was wondering if anyone got in off the hotel school waitlist for fall 2005 who also got that letter...anyone?...i didn't :(...but we'll see....

Haha good going, cleverthinkin! LOL I'm starting to wonder how many hotelie-wannabes were placed on the wait list without this letter-- you're the 4th person I know! Ah, well. So long as we end up in Ithaca yah? Heh keep us posted.
