Keep in mind some people will not have interviews, so don’t worry if your not contacted… in my case, I submitted EA, was accepted EA on Dec. 15th, and then got a call for an interview on Dec. 27th!

^Lol how did that happen? Did you go to the interview anyway? Does anyone know if international students get many interviews for SCEA?

DEMITASSE!!! My sister from another mister!! I miss you guys too!!! State VB tournament/applications and school has been eating my time in large gulps. Anyway, that is great to hear that maybe I will have a regional interview too. I hope you are having an AMAZING senior year!!! I love how long this thread has gotten-I haven’t been on the facebook group either in ages. AHHHHHHHHHH.
GO BULLDOGS!!!

Hey guys, someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I submitted my application on Friday and my guidance counselor mailed everything yesterday. I still haven’t gotten an e-mail for my Eli account or a phone call for an interview! :(

Should I be worried?!

Folks, post any questions on the stickied RD Applicants: Interview Advice thread so everyone can benefit from the answers. Yes, international students do get alumni interviews, but it all depends on where you live. If it’s a major metropolitan area with lots of alumni, you’re more likely to get an interview than if you live in a more remote place or a place where alumni are less likely to live.

It may take a couple weeks to be contacted for an alumni interview or you may not be contacted at all. Read the RD Applicants: Interview Advice thread for an explanation. Look for posts by me and T26–we’re both alumni interviewers.

Hey 2010Emily, I MISS YOU TOO!!! Ahhhhh!!! Totally hope you’re having a blast of a senior year <3 <3 <3

Did they call you or email you about interview?

EDIT: wow, I feel dumb. JK! I just read the title of this thread ^^"

No fair! haha. I submitted mine on the same day as you, but no contact yet… nor ELI account, but I think that takes a while.

^What’s an Eli account?
I feel ■■■■■■■■ for being a noob.

I believe it’s just an account to keep track of how your Yale admissions process is going.

Nice to see you here, fresh101 :p

Yea. I hopefully will be applying to Yale SCEA. So, i might as well start as a junior.

my yale alum emailed me to schedule a date.

oo good luck! I just finished mine and it went really well! it’s was just like a conversation and it lasted a little over an hour and a half. ahhh I’m SO relieved!

^What kind of questions were you asked?
IDK if you’re allowed to tell.

He asked about my school and classes since he knows about my school. And I mentioned my middle school and it turns out that was where his wife went to school when it was a high school so that was cool. He also asked Why Yale of course and he asked what my app essays were about. ( my topic reminded him of a similar situation that he witnessed when he was in school) he also wanted to know what I thought of Yale’s app and any other colleges I was looking at ( I was nervous about this one but he said that my answer was pretty unique and he usually hears the same three Ivies with some other big name thrown in there.) the rest was basically talking about myself, classes I liked. He was really interested on the types of discussions I’ve had in class that related to current events so we talked about those things for a while. Then I asked some questions about Yale.

i got an e-mail from an alum interviewer inviting me to her house. what should i wear for an occasion like this?
