omg it may not be the 18th....!

I'll be hearing at the same time, but it'll feel as though I had to wait 3 more hours in the day. That's better, no? I just wish I could hear tomorrow morning and get it over with.

I don't think we should flood them even though that would be funny. lol. but if we did they might turn out to be like UCSD's and shut down for a while and you know nobody would want that to happen. Everyone would go CRAZY! jaja. : ]

yeah, but you've already waited 3 more hours today. Go to sleep now and they'll be up by the end of tomorrow.

For the chat on Thursday, how would they know who's accepted and who's not. I guess a better way to phrase my question is how do they know who will able to participate in the chat? Is it open to all 2009 applicants or only those accepted?

Releasing the decisions the evening before the live chat even seems somewhat of a short notice.

@class2009college: If you didn't get in, why would you attend the housing chat? What would you get out of that?

@Orien: They'll probably post it on the decisions page. You know, have your decision then you can check out financial aid package and other stuff and it has a little note about the live chat

people, just SHUT UP FOR ONCE. why does it matter to you all when it comes out? there's no prize for the first one who hears about it, nor will checking your status earlier affect your admission chances! Stop being overly sensitive and go do your homework or work out or eat dinner or whatever! when admissions come out, they'll come out!

"why does it matter to you all when it comes out?"

because we really want to go there and we've been waiting months to hear

Rumor has it that the first person to check is automatically awarded a Regents' Scholarship.

^ lolololol

"nor will checking your status earlier affect your admission chances!"

how do YOU know?

It probably isn't the 18th. Just because a poster on this forum who knows just as much as you do says the release date is the 18th doesn't make it so.

Try to chill out and be patient. None of you will know when the decision is coming until the school releases more information.

^ there's pretty convincing evidence that it's tomorrow though

Nobody here is simply taking the word of a random poster.

^ I also recall some post in the sea of "ADMiSSIONS IS HERE OMG ZOMMMFJF" threads that the poster called the Admissions and said it was coming out on 18th for sure.

There's speculation...and then there's people who actually act on it and call...

Dude...we're all so nervous about it because we have put a lot of time and effort into our applications, and the sooner we get all this over with, the better. Right?

You spin my head right round right round
when you go down when u go down down ;)

^^ "Ignorance is bliss."

Just think about it...

i hope that's intentional irony
