Hello! I am from Brazil and just got accepted to get my PhD in UCR.
I was wondering if i still have a chance to get into one of the apartments on campus (Falkirk, The plaza, etc.)
Do I still have time to apply for the apartments? Where else can I look to find housing opportunities?
Thank you very much.

Best regards!

There’s still time to apply for apartments, so you probably will get one. After you submit your application you’ll be placed on the housing waitlist but since there is still space (last I heard) you may get an offer within about a week.

If you don’t want to live in the UCR apartments, there are a lot of off campus complexes nearby. There’s The Palms, Sterling Highlander, UV Towers, Campus Crossings, Grand Marc, and more. These are cheaper and they are all within 1 mile of the school.

Thank you sir.

It is really hard to search for houses from Brazil. Would you suggest a nice place to live off campus? From those you stated above, what would be the best one? I need to socialize fast as well, since I am going alone and I am from a different country. Any website where people list if they need roomates or if the have avaliable rooms? I only know Craig’s list.

Thank you very much
