I am a high school junior visiting Wash U. I signed up for the on-campus interview as an opportunity for a one-on-one with someone at the college. Are they supposed to be geared toward those who have already applied/admissions?

they’re geared toward whatever you want them to be geared toward. my interviewer asked me about my activities, what i was looking for in a college, but a big part of the “interview” is you asking your interviewer questions. it’s supposed to be more like a casual conversation–it’s not supposed be just you answering questions the whole time. so ask whatever questions you want. you can ask admissions-related questions, or just ask for whatever information you want about Wash U that might help you decide if you want to apply. you could even just ask the interviewer (mine was a student) why they chose Wash U or how they like it or what they’re involved in. if it’s an admissions person, you could ask why they chose to work for Wash U and what they like about it, etc.
