Are these offered?

I don't mean an on campus interview as a replacement for the required alumni interview, but maybe as a way to express interest in the school and get any questions answered? I suspect that MIT doesn't care too much about "expressed interest" because the Ivies don't, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

Nope, no on campus interviews. If you have any questions, though, you can go to an on campus admission session during your visit or just stop by and ask. This wont help you in admissions (there’s no “expressed interest” type thing), but you can ask any questions you may have.

Also, the alumni interview is strongly recommended (if there is an EC in your area), but it isn’t required.

There are no official on campus interviews. However, when I was visiting MIT in October, I contacted Matt McGann and he agreed to have lunch with me in the student center. It wasn’t an official interview, but I got to talk with an admissions officer and I’m sure it played some role in my acceptance.
