On Financial Aid and failed a class...

This is my semester in college and out of the four classes that I took I failed one. My grade was a NC which probably means no credit. The class I failed was an English class, First Year Composition and I got a D on it (a stinking 66%). My professor put NC as the final grade I think because you need to have a C- or better to pass the class. It's also a GE requirement. Will it affect my financial aid for Spring semester? My overall GPA was still above 2.0. The only problem is the unit SAP. All the four classes were 3 units each minus the failed class equals 9 units. This put me under the unit SAP which is 10 units. I go to SFSU and don't know if they check SAP every semester or after each year. Will they put me on financial aid probation or take away my financial aid completely. I get Pell grant and Cal grant. Do I have to pay back the class I failed?

The only way to know for sure is to ask your school’s financial aid office. Don’t ever hesitate to do that!
