So do they release them online or mail them on the 15th?? top choice and freakkkinnng out waiting…

liz…the might do both. Somewhat surprised that UDel is taking so long on the decisions.

UD has been later in releasing decisions for the past few years, at least from 2006. My son received his decision in the first week of April, quite a bit later than some of his friends. And he got a really nice scholarship, which ultimately held things up.

I would take the delay in exchange for a scholarship!!

I’m just on pins and needles til my D hears! Delaware from the moment she laid eyes on it has been her #1 choice and is going to be devastated if not accepted…LAST school to hear from!!

If I remember correctly, last year we heard right around the 15th. I believe it was on-line first, then a day or 2 later the letter came. It was one of the last schools my son heard from. UMass was the latest (mid April), but at that point he didn’t even care, because UDel was his top choice and UMass was just a backup.

I remember last year some people were able to log on as accepted students before the letters came. Good luck everyone, DD is sad to be graduating!

I just checked old posts here and found a reference to the exact date. My son found out on-line on March 13th. The letter came maybe a day or 2 later (was probably mailed out the same day it was posted on-line).

So hang in there for a couple more weeks and good luck to all! My son couldn’t be happier there.

What is the link where you can check online?/Is it just used with the UD ID?

That’s what I’m wondering…the only place i can go is the link to ‘check the application’ and it just says that they have all my materials. is that where the post acceptances?

jbevangelista: I know exactly what you are going through with your D. We visited last February. The look on my daughter’s face… she just knew. We were on our tour and she said, “Mom, can I get in here?” And, as we walked around the school, she told me that this is EXACTLY what a college should look like. We had already seen several colleges by then and she hadn’t had this reaction before. My fingers are crossed!

If anyone has more info about logging on to find out, please post!

liny and jbev, sameeee here except i’m the daughter so i’m sure my mom would be saying the same exact thing. i went to visit last NOVEMBER, so early, and knew as soon as i started to walk around campus. it’s exactly what i’d picture a college to look like…just fits the picture in my mind. it was even rainy and gross that day, so when i went back in may, needless to say i loved it even more. the wait is absolutely killing me but i’ve already waited this long so hopefully the 2.5 weeks or so should fly by. i’m terrified.

Good luck to all of you who are waiting! I hope you receive good news!

Yes, good luck to everyone. My child received acceptance packet the first week of Feb 2010 from UDel with info on scholarships and honors program. Could be the reason why they take so long - scholarship program competition is middle of March.

minimom-are you from delaware?

linymom/samjillian…keeping fingers crossed for all of us!!

i hope the long decision process means applications are really read and considered.

i hope so too. i’m sure they are. yeah they only let delaware residents know in february and the rest of us in march so it doesn’t have anything to do with scholarship stuff, they just have a loooong process.

sorry to reply so late - no not from Delaware - from NJ. Here at UDel for the scholarship interviews and just happened to log on to CC. Did you receive good news or not yet?
