On the haas requirements page, it says students need 60 credits to apply.

Are these credits only obtained from Berkeley? Or do credits from community college count as well?

and can AP credits be counted towards this?

I don’t think so about the AP credits.

why not???

I only had 55 unit by the end of sophomore year, and I’m in Haas now. I had also asked them about this before and they said that AP units count.

Thank you!

Also Haas application requirements have changed - this most recently admitted class (Class of 2011) had old standards where APs counted for breadth courses. This requirement may change now that they don’t let you use AP for breadth courses.

That’s why I don’t think AP credits count, they may have counted last year, but not this year.

Anyways can someone answer my question?

Check directly with admissions officers. Because the new requirements are for this year’s applying class, older students can’t help you and newer students may have heard conflicting things - it’s always better to get a direct answer and have proof of it in case they do contradict what they previously told you. You don’t want to be in a position where you can’t apply because someone on a forum told you the wrong thing…
