Once again a student is looking for some safeties :D

Hi guys,

I will get straight to my academics, since the title says everything :P

GPA : 3.44/4 ( although this is only an approximation since I am an int. student )
SAT : 1910 ( CR 620 Math 670 WR 620 ) ( my first SAT was something with 1600 , the second time i achieved the 1910 )
TOEFL : 109
Honors : Nothing special, 3 honors in school ( mathematic comp , essay and honor for particapating in the Community Service )
Lots of work experience ( above 1000 hours I guess )
Activities : Well tons of sports, moreover I started tutoring in the 10th grade and I am still doing tihs activity ; Coach of a soccer team, student of trust and some minor community service stuff.
Took 1 gap year in order to visit Australia for couple of months ( improving my engish and so on :D )
well the essays are good I think, its mostly about my transformation as a person, but I dont want to go too much into detail.

Well thats basically it, if you have ANY ideas ,please let me know :)
You may neglect the UC's, since I've already applied to every single one ( except of USC,UCLA,Berkeley -> Waste of money probably and I the deadline has ended anyway :D)
Furthermore I am certainly going to apply for :

Suffolk , Northeastern, SUNY Paltz, Ithaca College, Lycoming College , Sacred Heart Uni, University of Massuchetts Amherst and Susquehanna University

Last but not least , I am not seeking financial aid and region doesn't matter at all, I think I will get happy everywhere :) However I slighlty prefer the coasts regions ( who doesnt )

Thanks in advance :)

Sorry i cant edit my post with my phone so i have to reply.
i forgot to mention that i am aiming towards econ/accounting/business.

I don’t prefer the coasts.

Truman State University in Missouri. Well regarded for accounting.

Why aren’t you looking at the 3B’s? Babson, Bently and Bryant? Also Pace Honor’s program, you get a free ride and is excellent in Accounting.

Have you also looked into Chapman University in Orange, CA? I heard they have a solid program. Their regular admission deadline is Jan. 15. The school is in a great location, nice weather, and only 15 minutes drive to the beach.

Drexel? Accounting

Where are you from? New York or CA?

Also, USC isn’t a UC. Did you mean SD?

i think you already have a few safeties on your list.

Well Thanks for the answers so far ! However does anyone know a university which is good for economics ? You enumerated a lot of universities for accounting and I appreciate it, but since I am interested in maths in general I may better choose economics ; The maths in Accounting seems just too easy at all, but I really dont know yet. Well that is off topic anyway, so if anyone could come up with a university for economics it’d be awesome :D

Thanks in advance

UMASS Amherst has a fabulous Econ department, good choice!

Chapman U. has a very strong Economics program as well. It is being taught by a Nobel Laureate professor who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. Whether you’re interested in Economics or Accounting, can’t go wrong there. Chapman has one of the best schools in Business and Economics.

You sound like an international student. If so, the public schools on your list are unlikely to give you financial aid. Prepare to pay circa $50,000/year.

Take a look at some of the Florida liberal arts colleges - Eckard, New College and Rollins.

Try Villanova University in PA; very good business school and economics.

VSB is not a safety at all. Villanova itself isn’t much of a safety either, more of a match.

I would agree about Pace, and also suggest DePaul, and maybe some of the Loyolas (Chicago, New Orleans, and Maryland).
