<p>So i was filling out my housing contract, the online part. I selected everything quickly as a "draft" so I can wait until my parents see it and make sure its all correct. But when you click APP SUMMARY it automatically SUBMITS your application.</p>

<p>Uhh...I believe you can resubmit your UCI housing application (that PI thing) again to update the info until the particular deadlines. I remember something about a separate deadlines to determine meals and a separate one to determine the dorm complex you want.</p>
<p>I called them yesterday about this and they said that since the contract code is the same, your application is always the same as when you first submit it, the changes afterward have no effect?</p>

<p>Finding out now that I am on the waitlist for housing, that sucks...because i had my appeal granted, but it doesnt matter now I guess. AHH!H!!!</p>

<p>I'm just so ****ed because I knew this was gonna happen, but when I talked to an admissions lady earlier when I first got my appeal she told me to not worry about it and I would get housing. If I had known this was gonna happen I would have just gone to UCSB and not worried about it. I really actually wanted to live in a dorm, and now it looks like thats a very small possibility.</p>

<p>I changed mine like, 5 different times. and all the changes show up on the "app summary" page. you have up till certain dates when you can change it, listed at the bottom of each section.</p>
<p>calm down! nothing on the application is set in stone until those deadline dates.</p>
<p>I spent forever filling out that freaking application (the paper and the web one) and I sent it fedex just to make sure it would get there on time, and it did...but I forgot to put the check in with it, and I knew this right after I sent it so, on June 22 (the day it was due) I had it fedexed knowing that it would get there on saturday.
They told my dad that it would be okay if it got there on monday morning with the rest of their mail. According to fedex they could not drop it off on Saturday because it was a safety concern so they brought it on GASP Monday morning around 9:30. Then I got a call from that douche of a housing coordinator telling me that I was passed the deadline and I would have to go on the waiting list and that there were a 100 people or more before me (apparently all the people who had requested housing LATE and were still waiting for the contract get to automatically go before me)
Then I brought up how they admitted more people than they could house, and he said that he didn't have enough information about that to talk about it (probably because he would come off as even more of an idiot)</p>
<p>anyway, even if I get housing at UCI at this point i'm not looking forward to it, and I dont think I can even go there if i dont get on campus housing</p>

<p>CB says that it takes them (from the date of call) 7-10 days to mail it out!</p>

<p>Now once again Iam angry and UCI. I applied to recieve the list of people looking for roommates last monday (7/30). It was fedexed and they received it on tuesday 7/31. I sent the $15 fee and everything and they said they would process it IMMEDIATELY after they received it.
I called the housing office today and I was told that he had overlooked it on accident and that it would be processed ASAP. Why is it that they can take their time on everything and screw up all they want but when I turn in part of my on-campus housing ap a day late I dont get housing? they're hipocrites.</p>
