Hey all, I’m a prospective Hum Bio major applying to HYPS, but I might be getting a C in my AP Physics Mechanics course this trimester. Please let me know how this may affect admissions to the aforementioned schools (I applied early to Yale).
Also, is there any way i can get past including this grade on my midyear report?

I’m a solid A student, except for one B in Calc BC first trimester junior year, and Im likely getting this C because ive had to help my mom take care of my aging and ill father for the past few months, leaving little time for academics. I’ve got all A’s in other classes, but Physics took the blow.
If I communicate this effectively to my schools, how will it affect my chances when I send the midyear report with the C? Also, will they be able to see my second trimester grades (ends in march) with another form?

Im also applying to be a bio major and i have a C in AP chem with the rest as A’s. Im trying to decide if i should apply early decision to my top school bc its bringing my app down a lot too.
You prob wanna write a letter to admissions and let them know your special circumstance.
what’s the best way to send such a letter? update my application via their portal?
