Mid year report problem

Ok, i am now taking AP Physics C at my school and my teacher really sucks. I got a B the first quarter, but this second quarter i just found out i got a C. I think its complete BS because we had only 4 grades all marking period and one of them i bombed.

I am applying to some tough schools and i know this will hurt my chances at them. However, i did get an A on my midterm so what my colleges will see is B, C, A on the midyear that my school sends.

Also, i had some problems at home with my family (my dad hospitalized and i found out my good friend has cancer at 17)

I am just looking for opinions on what to do with my situation

<p>I'm sorry about your dad (hope he's doing better) and your friend. Your GC may be willing to include these personal factors when sending the report. Try to get your grades back up, though, in case you are wait-listed.</p>

<p>If my GC rites a letter with my midyear report about my family issues, will my colleges seriously take it into account? all my other classes i was able to maintain the same grades and i recieved all As on my midterms...</p>

<p>I don't know if they will or not but it's worth a shot.</p>
