Ummm don't pass on genes with my girlfriend please, that's my job.

why are we talking about genetics now.

Actually, legendofmax is not attending Princeton, so in effect, your son will only be losing a girl, not losing guy-competition.

I think the real secret of this thread is that it's turned into Seinfeld. Not a type of dialogue that interests the, um, combative element among us. ;)

Agreed. This thread is not very CC-like.

class of 2009 is only 45% female. uh-oh.

.... the eating clubs, presumably

to be precise 45 % - 1

I, on the other hand, am happy for Aludaughter that Princeton still is larger percentage males than females.

Odd that percentage of females at Princeton declined this year from 48% to 45%, just as the percentage of females at Harvard rose from 48% to 50%. and 48% of the admits at Yale were female.

It is also possible that Harvard realized that many of their male admits were morons and they wanted to decrease their population.

It would be odd if the eating clubs scared girls away, considering that all of the clubs are co-ed, as opposed to Harvard's finals clubs, which are all male.

Alumother, I was also pleased to find out that I had 5 % less competition then I believed. On another note, I was happy for you when I saw the parents handbook yesterday.... although I suppose being an alumnus detracts from the excitement of it.

Simba to zantedeschia:^ didn't you and kebree had an on-line 'e-thing' for a while?
[/quote]

I return to CC for the first time in months and this is what I see? Well, being at the center of a (very) momentary intrigue isn't so bad, I guess. ;)

^ good luck at Harvard in the fall, and about 'e-thing'. Why not? We have e-cards, e-hugs, e-champaign, e-bets..... (I just had my sexes mixed-up).

Haha, thanks. Good luck to you, too.

And it wasn't the 'e' that concerned me - I've gotten VERY used to philntex's e-vocabulary - it was the "sexes mixed-up" factor. Me, a guy? Sigh Honestly....

ICargirl,

Being an alumna actually makes it more exciting. It is really cool to be a woman these days and go to Princeton. I cannot tell you how different the environment is than when I was there. I am so proud the school has evolved as it has. Who knows why there are more guys - but what a great outcome for the women:).

Alu

Simba must have picked up on the flirty undertones of my posts...I mean, Kebree's art, her tendency to pick up british accents, her endearing obs-- liking of Harry Potter...swoons

Actually, you probably just missed a lot of references to Kebree as "she" and Kat2, etc. No problem, because to be honest, I'm not sure whether you are a he or a she, Simba! I want to say she, but someone referred to you as he so I am tres confused.

We need a 'gender revelation' thread, eh?

zantedeshia: I am over the hill he, and during the ED time last year you were on every Princeton thread. I also remember that thre were many kids who 'connected'. Old people can't remember the exact details !

Yes I know, and I'm not doing so badly right now in terms of infiltrating most of the threads here. Waiting for rooming info makes me as anxious as waiting for ED decisions. Let us know where your son gets placed!
