Okay, so I am currently at NYU but would like very much to transfer to UCLA. Directly out of high school, I was accepted to UC Berkeley and San Diego but was rejected from UCLA. In order to heighten the possibility of acceptance, I am thinking of transferring to a cc for next year, completing 30 credits, and receiving priority in admissions.

So what would my chances be if I was coming from a community college?
--3.7 gpa
--I've tried asking admissions people about which of my courses will transfer and they've been very unhelpful, but I am hoping that I will have completed all of the prerequisites before transferring
--ECs: last year: lot of acting, nannying
this summer: internship at independent tv production company, some other job to make money
next year: some other type of internship for tv/film/publishing company
and I write a lot of short stories and one acts, so I'm going to try submitting some stuff to see if I can win any awards
--I would be applying for the English major, preferably with the creative writing concentration though I'm not sure if this is possible at first

I KNOW that I made a similar thread several days ago and I apologize profusely. The difference here is that I would be considered a community college transfer, as opposed to an out-of-state transfer.
