One more WEEK until decision!

with fin aid, stanford can be cheaper than state schools.

i just wish they had need-blind fin aid for internationals…

yeah yeah i apologize…i didn’t realize the point he was making…i thought he was just talking about the actual tuition numbers…but in terms of financial aid offerings, you guys are totally right…haha forgive my impulsive post.

If a family makes $100,000 and under (to over $60,000), with typical assets for that income, Stanford will NOT charge tuition. You will pay room/board and any expenses. If you make $60,000 and under, it’s a full ride. If my daughter was accepted to Stanford, it would be the least expensive school for her to attend.

Well I don’t qualify for any of the STanford fin aid so my state school is cheaper…that’s all I was saying…
But you guys are right, for some STanford can definitely be the cheaper option…but never the easier option (to get into, that is…)

I don’t feel so excited :</p>

International + Financial Aid… I’m very scared…

^ same here. I’ve already convinced myself that I’m going to be rejected.

same. That way you are prepared if you are rejected and if you aren’t? Pleasant surprise!

it’d be FABULOUS if they released decisions on friday (26th).

They released a statement that said April 1st after 3pm

Is it online or by mail?

online…

Has anybody else noticed that some of thes schools SAY one thing and then relaease early? U Chicago told applicants to check at 10:00 pm and then posted decisions at about 5:00pm. I wonder what day Stanford said they were going to release last year and if it matched the actual release date…

Which of these factors will help the most in their decision-making process (if at all)
-Unusual geographic location
-Undersubscribed major
-Interesting essays

they usually say a later time so they can make sure everyone has their letters by that time, often it might be slightly earlier though
unless something goes awfully wrong lol X)
I am also expecting rejection though

^^Well, I’m no admissions officer, but on that list, an interesting essay would trump either of those two things. Though I’m sure an unusual geographic location would be a big plus. Major won’t really matter, because you don’t really sign-up for your major until end of sophomore year.
