Traditionally Stanford releases its decision the Friday before the scheduled date, meaning it will be released on March 26 this year.
One more week guys! Hang in tight!

While EA received decisions half a week early this year, last year Stanford released regular decisions on the same day as the Ivies released, i.e. the 31st.

[Admission News : Stanford University](<a href=“Page Not Found : Stanford University”>Page Not Found : Stanford University)

The site has been updated and says decisions will be coming on the 1st of April.

it also was very clear that the REA results would be released on the 15th. two weeks later they came out on the 11th.

Well, they only released EA decisions early because they’d rather everyone know on the Friday rather than waiting after the weekend to release it on Monday (they announced the change 2 hours prior to releasing decisions). But I think they’ll still release the RD Decisions at April 1st; March 31st at the earliest.

GL to all of you guys! [=

I’'m getting pretty nervous!!!

Friend’s son received acceptance letter from Stanford 2 weeks ago. Do they have different schedule sending out letters?

what?!?! Maybe it was a likely letter?

A likely letter two weeks ago? Ehh, I don’t think so.

The 7% acceptance rate is really morbid

“Friend’s son” might be lying or friend is lying about son. Wouldn’t be the first time. “My grandson Rusty got into Stand-ford the other day and he’s getting a fullride scholarship but he might go somewheres else instead…”

hahahahahah! so true! Actually that’s my plan. When people ask me if I get in, I’ll be like “yea i did…BUT, with the economy and everything…i really can’t afford it this year…so you know, I’m going to state” bhahahaahaha

so nervous! can’t believe it’s gonna happen!!!

I wish the results come out earlier so that we could use spring break to visit…if accepted.

^ But then again, these are the last few months of senior year. I won’t mind missing a few days of classes to visit schools if they accept me.

@jj43912: Interestingly, Stanford might require a student to pay less money than certain state schools, because the state/federal government is nearly, if not already by some standards, bankrupt.

yeah, ok…dont care what you say but stanford will NEVER be cheaper than any student’s own state school.

If you’re fortunate enough to be admitted to Stanford, odds are you’re going to get a chunk of endowment money. Family income under $75,000 means you pay Stanford nothing, right? And even family income at double that amount means that you don’t pay much. It’s definitely possible to pay less at Stanford that at your local state school.

But don’t plan on getting in…no matter what your stats. You can be almost perfect, but if you don’t have something additional about yourself that’s extra special, they’ll kick you to the curb.

It’s an amazing school, but if you apply, have plenty of safety schools available for yourself!

good luck everybody. keeping fingers crossed

Sorry hoping4college, but as an in-state resident who has been admitted to both Stanford and UCLA, I can tell you that at up-front, my financial offer was more generous at Stanford. And if you’re wondering, my family income is above both 75 and 100k.
