One night to prep?

I basically have friday night. Any suggestions?

Bump...hopefully theres a snowday so I can do a little prep and go out w/ friends for tackle football...

I'd probably go over review material or previous practice tests and focus on your weak sections developing strategies for how you'll approach it on the test...get in the right mindset. Other than that I'd probably relax.

I did the English section today of the last Real ACT test and got a 34...going to do the Math section either late late tonight or tomorrow along w/ the science and reading (my weak sections - timeeeeee)...BUMP!

SNOW DAY!!! more time for college apps, ACT prep, and all that fun...

WOOT same here...but i'll probably be out playing tackle football instead of doing what is more important :)

Have you prepped at ALL? Have you taken the ACT before? If not, you shouldn't be taking it tomorrow with no prep.

I've already taken the ACT once but I feel that some last minute strategy review (mainly sparknotes) will help me:
1st time w/Writing: 33 math, 28 science, 26 reading, 30 english for 29 comp. 32 combined essay+english (12 essay)
2nd time w/o writing: my goal is a 32-36 composite

just curious parikhs where do you live? I'm in northern MA

Ny!!!!!!!!

I think that definitely the most important thing above prepping is getting in the right mindset. Be positive during the whole test. It's very long so don't let certain sections or questions get you down. Pace yourself. Move quickly and skip questions that you feel may take you longer to finish than others.

When I took the test last year I didn't prep very much at all, I didn't know the format of the test and I got a 27. This time around I've done a little bit of prep for weeks so I'm hoping for a 30+.

Good luck to everyone! Don't stress yourselves out too much tonight.

Nice...I have a lot of friends in Queens. I've gotta admit I hate the Yankees, but I've been known to root for the Mets. If you leave near Boston and are not a hardcore sox fan, you will not fit in :)

ewww Mets....fk off lol jp - err I tried doing a math section b4 but was too focused on the snow lol...nonethless I didn't finish in time and made careless mistakes...definitley not me since I've scored 33-34 on previous math sections I' ve done...so it holds that the right mindset plays a big factor..zone out everything else and work as fast as possible skipping anything that u dont get when initially glancing at it.

sanguine do u have AIM..so we can talk about the test and whatnot? pm me

sureeeeeeeee

i too had a snow day!!!! but of course i didn't use it to study like i probably should have. o well. : )

I live just outside of Boston, sanguine - no snow day here =(

Yeah, no studying here either. Tonight... for 1/2 hour or so. I took SAT 2s last week, giving myself a nice break. I took the SAT Reasoning Test like 2 times.

i had no prep and did fairly well... then again i was missing a beach trip with 5 girls so i was determined to pummel it into the ground. it was also the sat. after school got out on fri. My tip is to relax and focus during the test. don't stress out before. good luck to all!
