One parent's-eye view of student life at Chicago

From today's New York Times Magazine, a piece by a parent of a first-year Chicago student:

Is there more to that article or is it supposed to end like that?

Yea, I must agree, the article left me wanting more.

It's more of a reflective piece about being a parent of a college-age son than it is about the UofC per se, and parents will relate to it more than students, but it still offers a small window into life at Chicago. As a mom, I found the last image especially endearing. I can only wish that my first-year son had such guardian angels looking after him!

sweet article!
