So, the SAT has creeped up on me a little faster than I expected. What would be the best use of my time over the next week? My worst section is probably writing (based on PSAT scores). How many practices tests should I take? I haven't really prepared much at all (I just got the SAT blue book and this other "2400" book, but have only skimmed them). Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since writing is your worst section, I would review as much grammar as you can, especially rules that are tested frequently on the SAT. Other than that, taking the BB tests is probably the best prep with as little time as you have. The practice tests may reveal specific things you need to review, but I think a general review is too ambitious, unless you have lots of free time on your hands.

I’m just reviewing Sparknotes SAT thing, [SAT: Improve SAT score with SparkNotes Test Prep: Assess skills online](http://www.sparknotes.com/testprep/books/newsat/) I’m not planning on doing any more practice sections, just reviewing the grammar rules, and certain math and reading skills.

avman, care to share those “certain math and reading skills” with us? I would really appreciate it: need all the help i can get for next week. ^^

Oh, well for Math, everything because I want to be thoroughly prepared. For CR, probably just some strategies for long passages.

Thanks! How many practice tests would you suggest taking between now and then?

This is my first SAT too lol, but I’m not taking anymore practice tests. I took my last one this past Thursday. Now, I’m just reviewing and taking it easy.
