One year UC, next year CCC...bad idea?

Hi,

So I was wondering, if I were to go to a CCC next fall (i'm at UCSC right now), would it affect my chances of getting into schools such as UCB? I'm not sure if I can afford UCSC next year (especially with the 8% tuition increase), but I don't want it to affect my chances of getting into UCB...also, if I were to transfer to UCB i'd be living at home, so I would not have to pay for room+board. Any ideas?

Go to CCC noob. Either DVC or Cabrillo until you find a clue on what you want to do.

it won’t affect your chances, they won’t care. You can use the time to increase your gpa and Ecs and stuff. The only thing you are losing is time but its only a year.

Thanks angrystudent. I don’t think I’ll be losing time since i’ll be in my second year in the fall but yeah thank you!
