Online Accounts for Applicants

S doesn't have a CC account and wants me to ask a question.

He has applied RD through Common App last month and submitted his CV Scholarship app this past week. With other schools he was assigned an online student account where he could track his application and see other important information. Does Vandy assign online accounts to applicants?

He has not received any information from Vanderbilt acknowledging that his application is complete. Common App indicates that they have downloaded everything. He is a little concern as this is his #1 choice school. He did get an email to schedule an interview and an acknowledgement of the scholarship app. He just wants to login to something. I guess that just makes it feel more real and more of a possibility.

Thanks in advance.

As I recall, Vanderbilt does not have online accounts for applicants. If your son is concerned, just call the admissions office to make sure his application is complete.

At some point, Vandy will send an e-mail if his application is complete, or list items that are missing. Until then you shouldn’t worry about the app’s completeness. But as Lenny stated, you may call the admissions office to ask if his file is complete (give them time to process everything).

We aren’t too worried. I think he has just gotten used to being able to log in to an online account and see everything. Thanks

Hi, Galaxy! the common app will only read “complete” if the letters/transcripts/everything have been uploaded. However, my D emailed her admissions counselor several times with questions and she always answered promptly. we had some letters that were mailed, and not uploaded by teachers/GC so we wanted to make sure they were there. they scan everything in now so it’s all on an electronic file. Crossing fingers for you!

Oops! Forgot to add, I don’t remember them sending something that said “we have everything!” but I do know for sure that with my oldest, they sent an email and a phone call saying they needed something from her old school? I think a midterm official transcripts? So I think no news is good news!
