Online AP Courses

I am thinking of taking an online course for physics B next year. I am looking at

Welcome to Virtual Virginia!
University of Miami Global Academy Accredited Online High School

Does anyone have experience with these or other online courses?

Thanks

I’m going to be taking AP English Language and Composition, AP World History and AP Comparative Government and Politics online next year. However, I’m homeschooled, so I’m taking them through PA Homeschoolers.

One thing that I think is a bit of a drawback is that online courses are a lot of self-study. Most probably, there won’t be anything live online, and if you are used to a lot of student to student communication, online classes usually lack that. Most assignments are turned in through email and the students and teacher usually never see each other.

Do online courses have videos teaching the material or is it all just assignments in the textbook?

I’m looking at Virtual VA as I will be in VA next year. I have taken FLVS based AP exams and they are good. They cover the information with plenty of time to spare, but they tend to eat up your Sundays and there is less student-teacher interaction.

Have you tried “Thinkwell”?

Thinkwell looks good. Do you know if their physics I course will prepare me for AP Physics B?
