online class-look bad?

hello does anyone know if online classes look bad for college admission?
Like what if i take AP english or a core AP class online senior year??
I dont mean on top of the required classes, but as part of the regular schedule.

Like does it look worse than if one took it in a regular class?

It probably doesn't look great, simply because the quality of online courses is pretty variable.

If you're taking it online to deal with a scheduling conflict or other problem and note that, it will probably be taken at face value. If there's no reason why you're taking it, colleges may wonder if you're trying to get out of a tougher class.

Still, I don't think it's a huge issue.

bump, wat else do u guys think/know about taken a core AP online like english??? not a big issue??

does your school offer AP English? If so, for core classes like that, it doesn't look as good since its not as rigorous as regular schoolwork

is it realy not??
well yes my school offers the most APs out of most schools in the country, but i feel like id do better online just more comfortable and less pressure of the classroom setting. would it look just as bad as a non AP if i took ap enlgish online? im takin apenglish lagnuage in a classroom this yr(im a junior) but id prefer to take it online for ap lit.

i discourage you from taking AP Eng online just because of pressure of classroom. When your school offers it, colleges are going to seriously wonder why you didn't do it at school. It'd be a different case if your school didn't offer higher courses, then it'd be more understandable

Or school offers a few on-line classes like health and econ but it is placed on the transcript as a regular class, not as on-line. You have to be organized and self-motivated to take an on-line class because time slips away and it is easy to not do well if your not careful. However, I think HS on-line courses are going to become more prevelent at least in our district. They are starting with the easier classes so kids can fit them into their schedules.

bump bump bump

At my school, the school frowns upon you taking a class that they offer at the school. But if you want to take a higher-level class that's not offered to you, more power to yeh.

EX. I'm taking AP Computer Science A on Florida Virtual School--I hate the class, but it looks good (I'm taking it on top of everything else)
