Online classes to take during the summer

As my title explains it, I am looking into taking a few online classes during the summer. Originally, I planned on taking them at my local CC but then I realized that I'll have transportation issues, so I started considering online classes.

Do you guys know of any "online schools" that teach physics and calculus?

How much do they cost generally? Do you get college credit?

I'm going to take those two classes next year so I wanted to get a little intro to the subject before I take it at school (physics especially...since I have no physics background and I've landed myself in AP).

I'm new to the whole online dealio...so this may sound like a stupid question: Do you have to take the online class at a specific time? Or do you just learn anytime you want?

Also...I posted this in another forum so if you see it twice don't get annoyed! I just wanted to get as much feedback as possible!

I took online AP courses at this place called Apex.com . I'm not sure if they have non-AP classes or not. It was OK. You could learn them material whenever you wanted, but there were due dates for the assignments and whatnot. I think it was a tad expensive too. Don't really remember how much, but it definitely wasn't cheap and probably wasn't worth the money.

ummm...I don't know if I did something wrong but Apex.com is moved to avocent.com?

...which doesn't look right.

Maybe they meant http://www.apexlearning.com/

I just did a quick google search and this looks like it fits the description.

Yeah that's the correct site. Sorry.

I can't find anything that talks about the price...do you guys know where that info. is?

I might be taking a few classes this summer with Apex. I emailed them a few weeks ago and they said it costs about $350 per semester and $300 for a summer semester. Those prices are for non-AP courses.

Are there any classes you can take online that you can get college credit for?

Using Apex, I don't think so, but I may be wrong. You can email them. The address is on their website.

I haven't had experience with this program, but the mathematics department head at my daughter's high school said that it was excellent:
