Online classes

<p>Could someone give me the pro's and con's (the not quite obvious ones) of online classes for a BFA versus on campus classes for the same degree? The cost is same from what I see for Academy of Art University. </p>

<p>I would prefer online classes (mainly because of certain personal problems, it's quite safer for me to be at home rather than in a campus. Nothing too serious but until I resolve those problems, I believe I would find online classes more beneficial) to on campus, but I'm wondering if the cons of using online classes would outweigh the benefits.</p>

<p>I'm also wondering how online classes work. Is it a massive chat room, or more of a forum/board type of thing? Are all assignments, tests, and exams done online or do they require an appearance on campus? (That would completely kill the point of not moving 8 hours north)</p>

<p>Pick up the phone, and call them. They will be able to answer most of your questions. Since you are concerned about what it would be like to be a distance student, ask them to put you in touch with a couple of their distance students and/or recent graduates who completed much of their coursework that way.</p>
