So I made a mock schedule for my freshman year in Fall of '08, and two of the classes I'm taking are available online. An English class and a basic computer programming class. I could fit both of these as on-campus classes, so I'm just curious as to whether or not I should take them online just for the flexibility factor or not. I don't see any real disadvantage to taking them online except less face-to-face interaction with others in my first semester of college...

It should would be nice not having class until 11 or 12 for 3 days out of the week...

I love online english. Some essays are supposed to be personal, and it makes it much easier to do since you don't have to actually see the person you are turning it into. I really don't see a point of taking english in a classroom.

I have never even considered taking a computer programming class, so I'm not much help there, but you'd think it would be harder to do it without direct/instant interaction.

What do you think of taking an online American Government class over the summer?
I've been thinking about it, but I don't really know anybody who has taken one.

I think that's a good class to take online. Mostly fact based information, so you don't really need a teacher there to answer your questions. I mostly self-studied for AP American Government and I did fine.
