I will be entering my high school as a senior this coming fall. I am interested in pursuing sign language on a serious level and would like to continue learning Spanish, at the third year level. The Spanish course did not fit into my regular schedule for junior year. The counselors at my school aren't the greatest. They don't assist students with questions like I am about to ask. I honestly don't know what they are paid for. Anyways, I want to complete both of these courses in the summer, online. I am involved in volunteering and basketball so it would be hard to juggle the two and physically attend the courses. Therefore, the best way I see it is to take them online. However, the only problem is I don't know where. I know that BYU is the most popular amongst high school students. However, their fees are pretty costly. I want a program that will appear on my high school transcripts, and consequently, be recognized by universities-The UC's, CSU's, as well as private. I can imagine some programs would come discounted or free to current high school students but I don't know where to look or which fit my criteria and are accredited. Any assistance to me would be appreciated. Thank you ahead of time.
