Online Courses

I'm about to sign up for some online classes (precalc) for enrichment (applying to college in fall). I needed to take this class at the beginning of the summer, but no community colleges had it.

Anyways, has anyone here taken an online course? Do colleges prefer in-class courses?

I plan to take them at Brigham Young University, will UCs accept this for credit and will it be included in my UC GPA?

If you're taking the class for credit at a legit college, even if it's online, I don't see why there would be a problem. You could always call the office of undergrad admissions and ask, to be sure.

They all said that they need to see the transcript before they could tell me if they would count it as credit or not...

My son had a pre-calc with Brigham Young last year. It was a very decent experience. School had no problem whatsoever with giving him a credit for it. He got 800 on his Math IIC after this course without any extra preparation.

Thanks for the reply fizik, what school did he go to?
