There are quite a few reasons that I’m considering online homeschool and or community college for next year
- The classes I want to take, my high school doesn’t offer (Calc 2, Macro/Micro Econ etc.)
- I want to double major in dance and business so
A) I can focus on improving my dance technique since I’m a late starter and not at the appropriate level for ballet
B) I can (at least I think I can) get credits for the classes.
I have most of my graduation credits, I just need English and Gym to complete the 4 year requirement. - I’m doing my applications over the summer, which I don’t know if that makes a difference either
My tentative schedule for next year would be: AP Stat, AP Lit, AP Euro, AP Spanish, Gym, two electives.
I was thinking I would take courses at my local community college or possibly, through my school, take online courses.
I don’t know if this will ruin my chances of getting into college though!
The schools I am looking at are:
Montclair State
Mason Gross at Rutgers
Muhlenberg
Goucher
University of South Florida
Florida State University
Towson
Please let me know how this would affect my application and chances.
Is this a good idea or a disaster?
