My daughter is self studying Japanese. I signed her up for online classes through our public school system. She just told me that she is almost finished with the 1st semester, 2nd year. I thought she was going to take the summer to finish as she started in late May, but I was wrong. The problem is that I cannot sign her up for the second semester because there is no summer session available through our public school online program. Does anyone know of a good online Japanese program? I just found something online called Classdo Inc. Does anyone know about this program? My daughter already has an additional app/book for studying kanji. What I am looking for is a program with grammar, sentence structure, listening exercises etc…
My kiddo made good strides in Mandarin (advanced two semesters worth over a summer) using iTalki. https://www.italki.com/ It was quite reasonable and he was talking with a young teacher in south central China on a regular basis. Thank you for the information. My daughter and I will check out both recommendations. 
My DD took the Beginning Mandarin through BYU and it was pretty good. She had regular speaking appts. with the teacher or TA that were very helpful.
