Online Public Health Masters?

Hi! I’m wondering if anybody can add an opinion on how valuable a MSPH from an online program vs. non-online. The one I’m looking at is from Southern New Hampshire University (it’s a real-life college, not all online) I live in NH, it’s by far the most affordable and of course the most logistically manageable. My long term goal is to work in epidemiology. I’m worried that this degree might make me significantly less competitive. Is it definitely worth the extra money and an hour commute to go to Boston U or Umass instead?

Yes, it is worth the commute and the money. Public health is a field that, in many aspects, values the quality of a program and also face-to-face interaction. You don’t necessarily have to borrow $$$$$ for Boston U (although their program is excellent), but UMass is a significant step up and if you are a MA resident is a good deal over SNHU.
