Is there a chance the online status will change before the snail mail notification arrives?

Yes, of course. In fact, that tends to be the case for most applicants.

Mine changed the day of my packet arriving. I live in CO though, so that expedited my packet's arrival.

Still, I think many hear first via a phone call! good luck to all waiting!!

flymom, is the phone call notification SOP?

V-noid,

I believe you'll find during this process that nothing is SOP. You have 50 states with many different MOC's and they all do things differently. I just know that for many MOC's, they enjoying breaking the news themselves. In our case, my daughter got two phone calls just 5 minutes apart from our Congressman and Senator. They were just as excited as she was!

Really, good luck to you and all those waiting. I know this is the hardest part! (--until BCT of course! :) Hang in there!

Our daughter received a call from her representative's office with her appointment even though the online status indicated that they wanted her to retake the CFA. She didn't receive her mail notification for almost a week after that and the online status wasn't updated until several days after that.
