online vs. paper

Hey guys,

I just heard from a pretty good source that colleges look more favorably upon online applicants versus paper applicants and there have actually been instances where the paper applicant was rejected (probably on the border of being accepted/rejectd) and they instead picked the online applicant.

Can anyone verify this? or any thoughts?

I actually think it's just the opposite

All I know is that Yale recommends you apply online, and the most popular justification is that it's much easier to organize and manage a huge database of information when everything is online and movable.

makes sense. I would think you could ask that directly to the admissions or ask that guy who works in the admissions there.... but I would have thought it would be paper, but I could see the online ones being easier to handle

Online is definitely preferred, but it won't make a difference either way in terms of whether or not you get in.

thanks, I'll remember that.
