Only 1 AP class? T___T

I was reading through all the threads, and it seems a bunch of people have taken many many AP classes/exams and have AP credit.

I only took 1 AP class my junior year (also got a 5 on the exam)... but does this mean my telebears time will be really late since I have way fewer credits than the average freshman coming in? :(
Even at Cal Day, i listened in on an information session, and the speaker just automatically assumed everyone has multiple AP classes for credits. I havent taken any classes at community college either, so it's just that one AP class, which my advisor advised me to retake anyway (chem).

What is the average number of AP classes a freshman has coming in?

Do you think only having 1 AP class puts me in the lower spectrum of the average berkeley student? (in terms of intelligence I mean..) I'm worried I won't be able to handle the classes...

You were admitted to Cal because the admissions officers believed you could handle the coursework and succeed academically there regardless of the number of AP courses on your transcript. Realize that an AP test, like any standardized test, is not a measure of intelligence. If you’re exceptionally worried about your study habits compared to other students with tons of APs on their records, take advantage of on-campus tutoring, academic advising, etc.

I come from a high school which offers no AP classes at all. We can do it!

Don’t worry about it. I only have one passing AP score and it hasn’t affected me that much.

gobears2013- really? thanks! makes me feel a little less worried about getting classes…

aspen- thanks for the encouragement :-D
