<p>The best advice I could give you is to relax. Course rigor is ONE factor in college admissions. My application was far from perfect; I had several things going for me and many things that set me back. You just have to stop worrying about the things beyond your control. And for every flaw in your application, you need something that balances it out. For example, I took 3 AP classes, but my grades were perfect. I didn’t do a ton of community service, but I did a lot of activities in my school. My test scores were average, but I spent a ton of time on my essays. Admissions committees don’t expect you to be perfect and they aren’t going to be as picky as you think.</p>
<p>I was just like you last year, worrying about every little thing. I applied to Berkeley “just because.” I didn’t think I could get in, but wanted to see that if by some miracle I would. I think you’ll be surprised with the outcome.</p>
