only childs.....how do you relieve the boredom?

i'm the only child and sometimes i wish i had a bro or sis :-/

so what do you guys do for fun at home?

i probably just end up going on AIM or calling someone. I hate being alone :(

I'm not an only child, but my sibling has not been home all day today, and I can feel what you are going through. It is quite boring, and my house is unusually quiet today.

I usually just call someone up or chat on AIM. Maybe hang out sometime when you can. It takes that lonely feeling away.

I've lived without siblings for the last 3-4 years and I can relate to what you're feeling...

I usually read, surf the net, chat on AIM, or... read some more. :o ~_~

I have 5 sisters and a brother.

no sympathy whatsoever

ok, maybe a little. I love my family and I plan to have a big one too!

Edit: ok, that sounded weird. I mean, I also plan to have a big family.

I hate my sister, and i dont talk to her.

^ hahaha!

I love my sisters. We get into fights but there's never a boring time. I can never imagine myself as an onlychild.

no offence but I've always disliked only-childs in grade school. They were always soooo greedy and selfish.

I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. But all but one is over the age of 22. So it's just me and my twin sis living at home. The only thing i could say is to call one of your friends over to hang out. Sry im not really an expert in this subject!

i'm kind of an only child (my bro and sis are much older and have thier own houses), and i used to desperately want a sibling my age, but then i started appreciating the fact that i didn't have anyone to bother me... sometimes i think it would be nice to have a sibling around, but that's only when i'm really bored.

i read, hang out w/ my friends, work out, surf the net, hang out on message boards (like CC ;)), chat on msn, beg my parents to drive me places (example: the mall) ... the list goes on.

You should go out more instead of staying at home.

funny how no only-childs responded to this thread?

I looooooove my sisters even though they **** the **** out of me sometimes.

I've been living almost-alone (occasional visits from them since they're in college) for the past few months. My advice is to enjoy your parents' company, take advantage of them being able (and more willing) to concentrate on you, and get out on weekends and after school.

I'm an only child. It's very boring. Im on aim a ton, message boards sometimes but I try to go out as much as I can. Having a gf helps :P

Get a bf/gf depending if you are a girl or a boy.

I have a sibling, but my boyfriend is an only child. At least I can keep him reasonably entertained now. lol.

i'm an only child! Yeah, I really wish I had a brother or sister. I think I fight more with my mom than I would if I had a sibling because sometimes we act like sisters. When I get married, I plan on have at least 3 children. It sucks because I will never be a blood-related aunt.... :(

Well I'm not an only child, but when I got really bored yesterday when no one was home...

I started singing.

:)

eh...I'm an only child but sometimes it's a good thing because you can get away with almost anything without your sibling to tattle on you...hehe ^__M.

i'm an only child and it gets pretty boring. Sometimes i wish i had a sibling (or two) to diffuse the overcontrolling parentage. But i find it convienient at other times becasue its a lot easier to do stuff and get away with it (no, its not drugs or anything). I remember in grade school when we had to do those projects and stuff. My mom usually ended up doing most of the decorating work becasue i suck at art and i remember how that would not be possible if i had a sibling.

Spend my time doing one of four things:
1) learning Chinese
2) practicing my instrument(s)
3) required studying for school
4) composing music

i'm not an only child, but for the past 3 1/2 years i've been the only child at my house while my sister's at college. she rarely visits. it gets awfully lonely, so i know how you feel

overbearing parents is hell I swear. My mom and I get into daily screaming matches
