Good amount of honors throughout highschool (except math, and junior year science).

EC's: (hopefully big hook)(i can't say them for privacy reasons) but for the sake of the chance, i have alot, and lots of good leadership(captain, president, editor, editor, manager, captain...). with some volunteering, and summer internship.

Delmonico, I read over your post and you’ve got a great deal of strong qualities; this is what I gathered from above:
For schools like Umich and Uchicago especially, your standardized test scores do work in your favor. If you attend a public high school, these scores are even better. I would probably apply as a humanities major in your case, because your sat I writing score and your sat ii score deserve special acknowledgment. Also, you mentioned that you pursued a solid number of honors courses throughout high school except in the math and science areas, so the scores above will also illuminate your application in a possible professional goal/career interest light, if you apply in something related to language arts. This way, not pursuing honors science/math courses cannot hurt you. You possess strong leadership roles in several activities, and I think this shows the admissions committee that you are a multitalented individual who brings quite a number of experiences to the table. I also saw the “editor” title in your list of ECs a few times, and this will help your application considerably if you apply for something related to writing/reading, etc.
The upward grade trend will only help you. Your GPA in my opinion is fine if you have pursued several honors courses. Do these honors courses include APs? These courses are obviously more demanding, and as long as you maintain above a 3.5, I think you have a really great chance at these schools. You may consider applying to Michigan Early Action, simply because of the enormous number of applicants that apply to Michigan Regular Decision. Especially with Michigan’s relatively new use of the Common App, they have had a great increase in applicants. I think UChicago and umich and Rutgers honors are good targets for you, and the other schools you mentioned are safeties. Best of luck with your college process.
P.S. I certainly hope one of those “president” positions includes a Young Democrats club!

sames. and im not appyling to those other schools liberlarts schools B/C thats not what i want to do, and i think i wud be good at. i wanna do business so im applying to thier business schools. and i have two years of honors science.

anyway, any other chances-take into account more competitiveness of business school than regular-

So…a and lot…are two little words that love each other but were never meant to go together. A lot not alot. I really should put that on the rant thread…
(I’d kill the Dem requirement if I wanted good advice…!)
