Is this true? I haven't done ours yet but this is what I was told today....

I am curious about this issue as well. Any answers?

I did my FAFSA last week, and it only had room for ten. But I don’t know if it allows you to add other schools once you max out.

Yes, there is room for only ten schools on the FAFSA. If you are applying to more than ten schools, submit to the ten with the earliest fin aid deadlines. Wait for email confirmation (I remember this as being 2 - 3 days) then go back into your FAFSA to do a correction. Delete the ten schools you submitted to, add any you have left and resubmit.

Alamemom - the fact that we receive the confirmation from FAFSA that the report has been sent to the colleges, how do we know for sure whether the colleges have already “downloaded” it ? I am concerned that if we delete the schools to make room for additonal schools too soon, it is possible that any of the original 10 schools may not have had the chance to receive/download…

Those schools (that have given the students access to verify their application status) still show no receipt of FAFSA eventhough the FAFSA was submitted 10 days ago.

I am interested in learning more about how to handle this situation…

Thank you.
