Hi so I took up to Spanish 3 in tenth grade, but then dropped it because of a conflict with an advanced engineering class I enrolled in. I explained this in my app. Is this gonna hurt me?

Also, Chicago is my absolute first choice. Is there a way to relay this to the admissions staff now? I applied EA.

I believe they recommend up to 3 years of a language course for your high school curriculum (Spanish I-Spanish II-Spanish III) but I don't think it'll hurt you too much.

Engineering? Chicago will only tolerate that in theory.

Yes well, I neede it to satisfy my credit. I wrote advance engineering class. Hopefully they won't penalize me because Chicago has no engineering. Man, now I'm worried they will think I haven't researched the school enough.

Eh, I wouldn't worry too much about things out of your control. At least you did what you wanted to at the time, and hopefully your happiness is not dependent on going to Chicago.

I was kidding, if you like science more than languages that fine. I know I do. Just know that Chicago has a language requirement in the CORE.
