Is it true that Harvard will only take valedictorians and other people in say the top 10? The kid that went to harvard this year was the valy. I am in the top 5% but I am not in the top 10. Will ranking be a major problem in the application process? Also, does Harvard compare students from the same school?

Thanks

No.

(10char)

no no no no no (I needed to get to 10char)

^^Note that I can get to 10 characters much more elegantly than you! ;)

(It's because I'm a Harvard grad, and no I wasn't a valedictorian.)

sorry to hijack, but piccolo, i've got a question for you: did you get any 3's on your AP exams?

Before this year, no. I got a 2 on AP Lit this year. Epic story involved. PM for the lulz (it involves sparta...hehe)

mathmom fill us in on the 10char trick.

Yes, please! Quite sneaky I'd say.

And I'm no Harvard grad, but I am salutatorian :]

I'm no harvard grad but I'm:

A. valedictorian
B. salutatorian
C. None of the above

DO YOU WANT TO PHONE A FRIEND

I'd never phone a friend for that one... there are way more people that aren't A or B, so the odds of getting it right go for choice C :] Unless you actually know the answer ;]

Who need's 10 char rule when you have invicible post?

^lol nice

Yeah I know the answer lolz

(Just to show that this way I knew long ago but I usually alternate forth so..)

And piccolo ROFL a 2...man I'll IM you soon (that and a couple other stuff).

friedrice, we had a whole thread with invisible posts. (The trick is to set the font color to the background color.) Sadly it turned out that it's not allowed and they took the thread down, but it was fun while it lasted, and I learned a bunch of message board tricks. If you want to read friedrice's post just highlight the text you can't see.

The ten char trick BTW is just to put in ten spaces and then a period - HTML reduces them automatically to one space.
