So thankful to all of you for all of the great advice - keep it coming! My D is about to graduate and is auditioning regionally. She wants to eventually move to NYC, but wants to save money & hopefully get some good regional experience. I’ve sent her the link to this thread!
Our D is graduating this year as well. Lots of decisions to make. Looking forward to hearing what everyone decides to do next. Any and all advice for new graduates is very much appreciated. Thanks to all who continue to share!
All of you with kids graduating this year are the very people I started following as your kids had all just completed the audition process and started their respective programs the year my D was a freshman in high school. Now she is the one about to embark wherever she lands after all the decisions are in and choices made. I want to express my gratitude to all of you for sharing over the past years. What I have learned here has proven invaluable. Please keep sharing as your children are venturing out into their professional lives. It is so helpful. And I will promise to stick around and share too for those with high school freshman just starting to consider this road. It all came to pass so much more quickly than I could have anticipated 4 years ago!
Count me in as another person who is extremely grateful for the advice, words of wisdom, stories and experiences, and support from those ahead of my D and me in this journey. When my D was auditioning for colleges, it was the “old-timers” who I looked to the most, as they had already been through it and had largely kept abreast of the situation. That continues to be the case; I love to hear about post-graduation, and even though I can’t believe that will be my D in a couple years, it helps to be aware of what others are doing and experiencing. So, I’m glad that @jeffandann has decided to stick around, and I hope others continue to, as well!
